A regional business gathering with a public-facing programme

Svetlogorsk is preparing to host the eighth International Baltic Business Forum on 9–10 October 2026. The two-day event will take place at the Yantar-Hall venue and is being organised by the Kaliningrad regional centre My Business. The current programme presents the forum as both a professional meeting for entrepreneurs and a showcase for companies, products and creative projects from the region.

The event is scheduled just three days after the announcement date of 6 October, making it one of the most immediate major business and tourism-related developments on the Kaliningrad calendar. According to the organisers, more than 3,000 participants are expected, alongside more than 20 speakers and six thematic tracks.

From business advice to local products

The forum’s central theme is “Time for Creation”. Its working sessions will address sales, negotiations, marketing, artificial intelligence, leadership, team management, export and creative industries. The emphasis is practical rather than ceremonial: organisers say the programme is intended to give business owners, self-employed people and prospective entrepreneurs tools that can be applied in day-to-day work.

For visitors interested in the region’s economy and tourism offer, the exhibition programme may be the most visible part of the event. The exhibition “80 Years of Creation” will trace changes in the Kaliningrad region’s economy through products, projects and developments from small and medium-sized enterprises. The organisers list agricultural processing, the amber sector, technology, tourism and creative industries among the areas represented.

The public-facing programme will also include a market of local brands, a farmers’ products fair and a consultation zone featuring partners of the My Business centre. That combination gives the event a broader regional character: it is not limited to conference rooms, but also offers visitors a way to encounter producers and enterprises from different municipalities.

Why Svetlogorsk matters as a host city

Svetlogorsk is one of the Kaliningrad region’s best-known seaside resorts. Holding a business forum there connects professional networking with an established tourism setting, particularly at the beginning of the autumn shoulder season. The choice of venue also reflects the region’s effort to combine business, culture, hospitality and local identity in one event programme.

The format may be relevant to visitors who are interested in how destinations develop beyond their traditional tourism image. The exhibition areas are expected to present local food, amber-related production, design, technology and creative services. A fashion show featuring Kaliningrad brands is also listed in the official programme, underlining the role of design and cultural production in the region’s business landscape.

Another part of the programme will recognise social entrepreneurs through the regional “Vector of Good” competition. The organisers describe the competition as a way of highlighting projects that address social needs and support leaders of social enterprises. This gives the forum a civic dimension alongside its commercial and professional agenda.

Access for entrepreneurs and prospective founders

The Kaliningrad city administration has invited local entrepreneurs, self-employed residents and people considering starting a business to participate. According to the administration’s announcement, participation is free for eligible attendees, subject to registration. The official forum website provides the current programme and registration information.

The organisers have divided the programme into several specialist tracks. These include sales and negotiations, marketing and promotion, leadership, creative industries and personal effectiveness. Sessions on artificial intelligence are also planned, reflecting the growing role of digital tools in business planning, communication and customer service.

For smaller companies, the event’s value may lie less in headline presentations than in the combination of consultations, business-to-business meetings and informal contact with other regional enterprises. The official tourism information centre describes the forum as a place for new partnerships and joint projects, while the programme provides space for local brands to meet potential customers and partners.

A constructive autumn snapshot of the region

The forum does not promise a single large investment or a new infrastructure project. Its importance is more incremental: it brings together the people and organisations that shape everyday economic life in the Kaliningrad region. By placing entrepreneurs, farmers, designers, technology companies and tourism businesses in the same venue, the event offers a compact picture of regional development through local production and collaboration.

For Svetlogorsk, the event also extends the town’s role as a venue for conferences and cultural gatherings outside the main summer season. For visitors, it offers an accessible way to see regional products and meet the enterprises behind them. The programme is subject to change, and attendees should check the official website before travelling.
