It is planned, that Lidl Latvija logistics center will create over 150 new and well-paid jobs in Latvia. “This will be in addition to the hundreds of Lidl employees who already are working in Riga,” adds Jakob Josefsson, strongly believing in a positive impact of this project on local economy. With its operations, the newly built logistics center will also provide new cooperation opportunities for the local logistics and transportation companies.

Costing EUR 55 million, the Lidl logistics center at Dzelzavas street 131, Dreilini, Riga, is the single largest Lidl investment in Latvia, and the major milestone towards Lidl’s market entry into Latvia’s and Estonia’s retail markets.
