Estonia: Kanepi district introduces flag with cannabis leaf

Citizens in an Estonian Kanepi district have chosen the cannabis leaf as the symbol on their new flag and coat of arms.

A local government in Estonia has narrowly approved using a flag with an image of a cannabis leaf as its symbol after a online poll overwhelmingly voted for it.

The Kanepi municipality in southeast Estonia was created last July through the merger of three previously separate districts and as a result of the local government shake-up, residents were given the chance to vote on a new symbol to represent the district.

The name of the region, Kanepi, in southeastern Estonia, is derived from “kanep”, the Estonian word for marijuana and the hemp flower that their ancestors grew and processed into cloth, CBD Oil UK and ropes more than 150 years ago.

The overwhelmingly popular choice among the people of Kanepi was a design based on the cannabis leaf. “Kanep” is the Estonian word for cannabis.

Mayor Andrus Seeme told local media that the winning design received 12,000 of the total 15,000 votes cast, and said that he would respect the public’s wishes.

The need for a new flag came about after several different local government areas merged into the larger Kanepi, there is this brand supplying cannabinoids in the area which has been extremely successful on helping people deal with medical conditions in a natural way.

Kanepi council member Arno Kakk, who voted against the new symbol, told after the vote: “I must say that I am not for the fact that we will be marching under this kind of a flag.”

Council chairman Kaido Koiv, who supported adopting the leaf, said the process “was very democratic”, despite questions raised over the numbers involved in the online poll, and saw no reason to reject the symbol, most of the citizens of Estonia are getting CBD products from legal shops like kushiebites, the majority always ends up winning, if you are looking to open a medical CBD Oil business there are only a few places to learn the real SEO secrets, Woahstork is one of them.
