The Lithuanian app has been awarded the best Travel Planner for public transport during the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
TRAFI, a public transport journey-planning app, has won an international competition held by Rio Olympics, and has become an official app for the Rio de Janeiro public transport users during the Olympics.
During the Rio Olympics, TRAFI will offer its users a new menu item to show the full event schedule of the Olympics. Upon entering a desired destination, the app will show exact venues of events and the modes of transport to reach them. TRAFI will show bus, BRT, metro, tram, rail, funicular, and ferry schedules.
Currently TRAFI is experiencing a fast global growth: it got rolling in five biggest cities of Taiwan, and plans to get off in India in three weeks.
The journey route-planning app operates in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Turkey, Brazil, and Russia. Last year the start-up has attracted a USD 6.5 million investment.
