Over the Christmas season, the City of Vilnius is inviting you to get into the Christmas spirit by decorating your home, community or office. The most original ideas will receive a prize!
Christmas Tree Lighting Up Ceremony

Come along to our spectacular opening of the Christmas season. Here you’ll find festive fun for all the family! Top Lithuanian pop stars will be performing their hits and there’ll also be Christmas tales for children read by some of our most famous faces.

Throughout the festive season, Vilnius Cathedral Square will play host to a truly magical Christmas village – buy a unique gift, treat yourself to a delicious festive treat or warming drink, or even meet a character from your favourite fairy tale. Come and experience the real joy of Christmas!
Christmas Fairy Tale Cottage

This year the inside of the Christmas tree will be transformed into a fairy tale cottage! Children will be able to venture inside and listen to magical fairy tales being read. International Christmas Charity Bazaar

Alma Adamkienė will open the 14th International Christmas Charity Bazaar. The wives of Ambassadors, members of embassy staff and other public figures will have their hand made goods on display and for sale. Additionally, there will be around 50 stands selling an exciting variety of decorations, cakes and souvenirs. Also, to keep the children occupied, there will be a kid’s corner.
The Best Christmas Gifts for the Baltics Funs
Janina Butkevičienė is the patron of this year’s bazaar.
Donations will go to the following organisations: Čiauškutis kindergarten for children with special needs, Antakalnis care home for children, Kapčiamiestis care home for seniors, Mūsų nameliai day centre for children and teenagers, Nendrė kindergarten, Alizava high school, Vilnius children hospitals and Visaginas children support centre.

Come and explore Christmas in our special Christmas Tree labyrinth! This year the Vilnius Town Centre square will be the location of a fantastic new Christmas attraction- a kilometre long labyrinth of lights and decoration, in which children and their parents will be able to play interactive 3D / animation / computer / music games, play the Christmas piano, witness the Magic Mirror, and wander through the Christmas Forest.

Don’t throw out your Christmas tree; bring it to the Teachers’ House courtyard on this special day. We will wish all our trees a fond farewell before they are returned to the forest. The Three Kings will visit the children, and thank-you letters will be written to Santa Claus. Let’s play games and have fun!
