In 1994, the Old Town of Vilnius was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The largest Old Town in Eastern Europe is architecturally the richest part of Vilnius. Almost every style of architecture can be found: from Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism to Post-Modernism. Take part in the sightseeing tour, feel the unique atmosphere of the historic Old Town and discover the places to which you would like to come back again.

Vilnius Town Hall and its square – once city life was in full swing there, and today annual fairs, festivals and lots of other events maintaining life of the square are held. From majestic Gediminas’ Tower, which has been glorified in many legends, a spectacular view of the Old Town opens. Catholics know very well the Gates of Dawn and its painting of Mother of God, which is said to have miracle-working powers. Vilnius University is one of the oldest and most famous higher schools of Eastern Europe. The President’s Office is a notable piece of Lithuanian Classicism. The Cathedral dating from the times of Mindaugas stands in the territory of the Lower Castle. The residence of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania that remembers famous and noble rulers. This is only a part of Vilnius, which we want to show you and in which you are sure to find great cultural values. Tours are organised from 15 May to 15 September :

11:00 Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays – in English;
11:00 Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays – in German;

The tours start at the Cathedral Belfry.
Duration – 2 hours (on foot).
Ticket – 10 Eur, with Vilnius City Card for free!
