The main event of the clay season in tennis is Roland Garros that will start next week. Meanwhile, the qualification tournament has been started with Laurynas Grigelis who lost already at the first round and Ričardas Berankis who managed to pass the first match and will hope to continue the positive strike in order to qualify to the tournament.
The first Lithuanian racquet Ričardas Berankis who is taking the 139th place in the world faced in the first round of the qualifications the 27-year-old Austrian Martin Fisher which is ranked this Monday at the 180th place in the world. The match was tough from the beginning but Berankis managed to bring the victory in three sets 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

The next opponent of the Lithuanian will be the 26-year-old German Tim Putez who’s rank is 230 in the world and who surprised the more experienced player, the Swiss Marco Chiudinelli in the first round of the qualifications.
The second Lithuanian racquet Laurynas Grigelis had worth luck than Berankis and he lost already in the first round. The 23-year-old Lithuanian who is taking the 245th place in the ATP rankings faced a 20-year-old Frenchman Laurent Lokoli who is ranked only at the 423rd place in the world and lost to him in straight sets 7-5, 7-5 after 82 minutes on the court.
