Lithuania: U.S. F-15C Eagle fighter-jet made emergency landing

On January 24 a U.S. F-15C Eagle fighter-jet deployed on NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission had to make an emergency landing for technical causes at the Air Base of the Lithuanian Air Force in Šiauliai.

The aircraft has landed successfully without experiencing any incidents, reported Ministry of National Defense Republic of Lithuania

Emergency services of the Lithuanian Air Force and the city of Šiauliai provided a timely response proving to be ready for emergency landings.

The occurrence has not disconcerted the conduct of the Baltic Air Policing mission.
