President Grybauskaitė in new BBC documentary on successful women

On Saturday the BBC, the national public service broadcaster of the United Kingdom, launched a major new four part series on the influential women in the word called “Her Story: The Female Revolution” which tells about the Lithuanian president Dalia Grybauskaitė and her story of leadership.

In the documentary Grybauskaitė tells that she never aimed to be a leader but took this invitation as a responsibility. The series were shot in June by the Oscar-winning director James Rogan.

The Lithuanian president was filmed not only in the Presidential Palace but also in the Rukla military base. In the series she is described as a woman with a good sense of humour.

Till now the only Lithuanian politician that received such international attention was Vytautas Landsbergis.
