EURO 2016: qualification groups were announced

While the nations who qualified to world cup 2014 in Brazil are preparing for the show this summer, UEFA announced about the qualification groups for EURO 2016. Lithuania and Estonia will meet each other in Group E.

The next European football championship will take place in France at 2016. Meanwhile, the nations will start to fight for the tickets to the tournament in nine groups. The matches will start after the World Cup in Brazil that will take place this summer. Latvia will play in group A with strong Netherlands, Turkey, Iceland, Czech Republic and Kazakhstan. The favorite team to win this group is the “Orange Team” – Netherlands. Turkey, who also strong nation suppose to finish second in this group when Czech Republic can do some troubles.

Lithuania and Estonia will play each other in group E. Beside the two Baltic nations, England and Switzerland will be the favorites in this group. San Marino and Slovenia will join Lithuania and Estonia in order to make the life of the favorites tougher.

Group B: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Israel, Cyprus, Andora and wales will fight for tickets to the Euro. The favorites to qualify are Belgium and Israel or Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Group C: In this group, the world champion, Spain will be the main favorite for victory in this group. Ukraine, Slovakia, Macedonia, Belarus and Luxemburg will fight for the second ticket to the Euro.

Group D: Strong Germany and Poland are the strongest teams in this group. Georgia, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Gibraltar will try to surprise.

Group F: Greece, Romania, Hungary, Northern Ireland, Finland and Faroe Islands will battle in this group. The favorites to qualify to France 2016 are Greece and Hungary.

Group G: Russia and Sweden are the favorites of Group G to take the first two places. Austria, Montenegro, Moldova and Liechtenstein will try to get the tickets by themselves.

Group H: In this group, four strong nations will fight to qualify. Strong Italian team is the strongest in the group but Norway, Croatia and Bulgaria will make the life of the Italian team tougher. Azerbaijan and Malta will try to surprise the other teams in the group.

Group I: It is the smallest group in the group stage. It includes five nations in stead of six. Portugal with the superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is the favorite to finish first in this group. The other teams are Serbia, Denmark, Armenia and Albania.
