A good four months after Latvia’s joining the Eurozone the results are more than positive, the online portal Delfi writes:

Adopting the euro was our biggest challenge since we joined the European Union and overcame the euro crisis. The transition to the new currency was successful and posed no major difficulties for businesses or their customers.

… At first many Latvians were against introducing the euro. We all expected the new currency to bring problems, but nothing of the sort happened.

… There were no major problems. Even the statistics are positive: 97 percent of all prices have remained unchanged and a growing number of Latvians support the new currency. That means we’re on the right path.
