Politicians did not stress the differences in their positions on the way out of the crisis at a joint press conference during visit of Francois Hollande in Germany.

F. Hollande who criticized Merkel’s commitment to a policy of austerity, he repeated that he would like to once again discuss the rules of the EU in the field of fiscal discipline.

Given the doubts about the future of the euro as a common European currency, both politicians expressed hope that Greece will remain a member of the euro zone.

We recall the ruling center-right coalition in Germany, led by Chancellor Angela Merkel, was defeated in regional elections.
